Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
2021 Herold Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Uboldi vineyard near Kenwood in Sonoma. Grapes were whole cluster pressed and fermented in concrete, egg shaped fermenters. The result is a wine that is both delicate and layered with dizzying aromatics of Bosch pear, stone fruits, lemon curd, flint stone, fresh white flowers, and honey. Subtle notes of rose petals, rock minerals and toasted tree nuts elevate this wine to other dimensions. Unbelievably balanced with incredible mouthfeel, flavor, and verve giving backbone and decadence to this delicious white! Ends with a long tangerine finish.
